Chapter 260 – Meeting (9)

“Did you say you were going to meet Ichi today?”

“Yes. Ichie and I have said good-bye to everyone in the family, and today I want to look back with Ichie, reconcile our minds again, and have some private time as a couple.”

At the word “Private time,” Both mother and father smiled and nodded their heads. The two of them seemed to be planning to travel by deciding where they wanted to go today. My father showed me his cell phone and said.

“I heard that there is a place with amazing open-air hot springs if you take the train for about an hour from here. We’re going there You should visit here too.”

“Yes. All right. I’ll talk to Ichie.”

“Okay. Take care of yourself.”

I nodded and smiled at my father’s intimate concern. I had no idea it was so awkward and fun for my father to cheer me up. It was because my father’s back tickled and goosebumps all over my body, even when my father told me to take care of myself. I greeted my father and mother once more, then packed up my luggage and went to the place I was supposed to meet with Ichie.

The place to meet Ichie was a large bridge in the middle of Shinjuku. It was once famous as a filming location, but now there are not many people, so it is a tourist attraction only for maniacs.

Now that the famous masterpiece has become a relic of the old days, the udon restaurant near the bridge that appeared on the restaurant TV was more successful than the bridge. Ichie leaned her back against the railing of her bridge, staring at her udon shop. She saw the river trickling down her gaze.

I shook my head as I felt like I was looking at a youth-themed pictorial, standing in the sunlight.

I picked up a stone on her floor and tossed it lightly toward the surface of the water where she stared.

Water droplets bounced lightly with a rippling sound. Surprised by the sound, Ichie looked around her, saw me, and waved her hand.

“Suhyun-san!”

I thought that the voice shouting at me and the lively movements were just like a big husky. Husky. She was dressed like a really husky even the color scheme of her clothes now. She was wearing a black T-shirt under a slightly chunky jumper in alternating black and white.

The T-shirt had a skull pattern drawn on it along with the word [UNCHAINED] In red letters. Her pants were short enough to expose her thighs, and she was wearing white knee-highs.

As soon as Ichie saw me, he really jumped up like a puppy and hugged me tightly.

“Supreme phenomenon! You didn’t want to see me?”

“I thought I would miss you every day. What about Ichi?”

“I also wanted to see the water phenomenon.”

We recited love as if we were competing to see who we wanted to see more of, and I lightly kissed her on the forehead. The moment her lips fell on her forehead, the passer-by cleared her throat, and at her reason, she smiled and rubbed her own forehead once.

“Huh? If you wipe it, will you do it one more time?”

“But, if you do it on your forehead, it itches, so your hands are easy.”

“Then you should do it on the ball. Eight. Eight.”

“Su, Suhyeonsang On the street! I see people in the neighborhood!”

Ichie struggled in my arms like a nephew trying to avoid his uncle’s kiss, then leaned against me with a pouting expression when I reluctantly let him go. I said touching her cheek.

“Ichie, were you angry as soon as you came?”

“Become stronger than Suhyun, so I will do the same for Suhyun.”

“What if it’s ‘the same’?”

Ichie lifted her head up and held her cheeks with both of her hands. And she rose to that state and kissed my lips. I opened her eyes wide and she pouted and kissed me one more time.

“Even if you ask me to let go, I’ll just keep clinging to you like this and kiss you.”

“Only a kiss?”

I asked as I put my arm between her armpits. Ichie hurriedly lowered her arm, blushing, as if she really thought I was going to have sex here. Then he turned around and said.

“Hey, not here!”

I said, rubbing her shoulder in her wit.

“I don’t do it here. In a sense. Rather, why don’t we start with lunch? Ichigo must be hungry too. Shall we go to the famous udon restaurant over there?”

“I eat meat rather than udon. Hunters always have to eat meat to replenish their stamina.”

Ichie pointed in the other direction while saying that. There was a Korean-style meat restaurant there. Round iron tables and drum chairs. Even the signboard that says [Kim’s Samgyeopsal]. It was a no-nonsense Korean restaurant. Seeing the restaurant Ichie pointed at, I asked in a panic.

“No reason. Why is there a meat restaurant here?”

“Supremacy. You don’t like meat? Are you a little burdened at lunch?”

Men don’t hate meat at any time. Especially Hunter. I listened to Ichie’s question and shook her head resolutely.

“I like that meat.”

“Oh, are you from Korea?”

A lady clerk cut kimchi on the grill and asked us. There were wrinkles on her smiling face. She looked at Ichie and me alternately, complimenting me on how handsome the groom was. Ichie slightly frowned as if she was a little dissatisfied with the auntie intervening when they were supposed to be together.

Was it a bit of a problem to talk to you in Korean because you wanted to give a discount to Koreans? She said she would bring more of her lettuce, she also gave me a full bowl of seasoned bean sprouts, and said she had more ‘special’ meat, but it was taking up our time.

After watching for a while, Ichie carefully reached out her hand for the hand of her aunt who was grilling her meat.

“Oh, my lady, what’s wrong?”

“I bake.”

As Ichie said that, he flicked her hand once. The aunt looked back and forth between me and Ichie, and she laughed.

“Oh, oh, look at my mind. I forgot to clean the stove. I’ll be over there, so call me if you need anything. OK?”

“Yes. Thank you.”

She was a smart old lady. As soon as Aunt Ichie disappeared, she held out her scissors and tongs to me again, she said.

“Bake me.”

“Yes yes.”

I laughed at her foolishness. This was Japan. She meant that there was no reason why she wouldn’t accept her fooling around. I started stirring the grill, recalling memories of grilling meat during my college days or part-time job dinners. Do not turn the meat over too much, and do not cook the meat for too long.

It was slightly crispy on the outside but soft on the inside, and the gravy and oil had to burst out to be able to say that the meat was properly grilled. The grilled meat was placed on a plate in front of me, and I was diligently turning the meat over. However, Ichie just stared blankly at the well-oiled kimchi and deliciously cooked meat, not trying to lift his chopsticks.

I asked while putting the new meat on the grill.

“It makes sense. What’s wrong? No appetite?”

“Ah-.”

Ichie opened his mouth and dyed his ears red.

A meat restaurant on weekdays at 1pm. There were few people passing by, and it was a time when only the sound of the TV resonated in the restaurant to soothe the boredom of the owner. Ichie, who was sitting at the table, was waiting for someone to put the meat in with his mouth open with a natural look on his face.

I couldn’t stand it because it was so cute. I dipped a lot of ssamjang on a piece of meat, cut up garlic and pepper, and put it in. I put her green onion on top of her lettuce, wrapped it in a circle, and put it in her mouth.

Ichie took the meat I wrapped and ate it, then gave a thumbs up. And said

“Supremacy. The meat is well cooked.”

“I saw you at a dinner party last time. I used to grill the meat wonderfully.”

“Still, I didn’t feed them like this back then. Meat tastes good only when it is fed.”

“Ichie knows something. Is it so. Originally, meat is delicious when fed.”

While saying that, Ichie was wrapping up his wraps. Now, Ichie’s actions were obvious. It’s obviously trying to feed me. I opened my mouth in front of Ichie and said.

“Ah-.”

Her reasoning looked at me with a smile on her face as I opened her mouth, then brought the wraps to her mouth. When I slightly lowered the corners of her eyes and made her cry, she covered her mouth and laughed, saying that my expression was funny, then put lettuce wraps in her mouth.

“Oh, the meat was well grilled.”

I gave her a thumbs up and nodded her head. I don’t know who baked it, but the skill of grilling meat was an art. Feeding each bite like that, I spent a considerable amount of time just eating meat. At first, the woman watched the young couple’s affectionately, but after a while she calmed down and went out to prepare ingredients or react while watching TV.

I said to Ichie in front of the cleanly emptied meat grill.

“Oh, it was delicious.”

“Supremacy. Where are you going now? Is there a place you want to go?”

“Wherever you want to go…”

In fact, if you came all the way to Japan, there was only one place to go. I remembered my father talking about hot springs.

“It makes sense. Shall we go to the hot spring? I’ve only heard of those Japanese hot springs, but I’ve never been there.”

Ichie asked me back, widening his eyes at my words.

“A hot spring?”

“Yes. Spa.”

Ichie smiled at my answer and added:

“I like hot springs too. Of course you go in together, right?”

“Of course.”

Ichie knew my heart too well.
