The Protagonist Is a Villain 14

Chapter 14 – House of 20 Corpses (4)

“Sah, save me…”

I never thought the day would come when I would be begged by a muscular giant with a beard. I was sitting in the middle of the barracks with my mace soaked in blood. A few thieves were scattered on the floor, and most thieves abandoned their weapons and gathered in one place.

The head of the thief, with his head half smashed, was repeating his request for help like a cuckoo clock pointing to 12:00 PM. I took a deep breath. In order to explain this situation, I had to go back to when I dispatched Sieri to the church in the territory about three days ago.

There were two main reasons for sending Sieri. First, to gain freedom in my actions. Second, it was difficult for Sieri to know what I was going to do from now on.

After I dispatched Sieri to the local church, I decided to get rid of the bandits once and for all, while capturing four of them. If thieves were rampaging next to the territory, it would be bad for my reputation and public sentiment. Rather, it was to the point where I couldn’t figure out why Lucius had let him go until now.

In the original work, eradicating the bandits in Peta Territory exists as a kind of quest, but this location does not change randomly, and multi-time servants or servants who enjoy soloing speedruns simply turn to the forest as soon as they enter Peta Territory and Rob the bandits. I used to start hitting the wilds from the corner.

I was a user who had played this game quite a bit, and I knew the location of the thieves.

I wondered if it would be safe to take Robin, but the thieves here stayed at the average level of 10s, and the boss of the thieves was around level 20, perhaps to show Lucius ‘incompetent and petulant side of him. It meant that even if I went alone, who was currently level 36, I could have a kebab party with these puppies.

He left the thieves behind and left the decontamination, what was he doing instead?

So I sneaked out of the mansion while Sieri was away and Robin was busy training her men. As I slowly walked towards the forest holding my staff of truth, I saw several members of the thieves standing guard.

The sight of him yawning while holding a bow while looking around, seemed like a guy who had been with the bandits for a long time. Boundaries are what newcomers do best. I hid myself in the bush
I approached him slowly. When I went closer and opened the status window, he was in charge of the thieves’ hunter position, and his level was about 15.

His stats were pretty decent, and he didn’t seem to be faithfully participating in the bandits’ work, so if he was persuaded, he’d pass right away.

Kang!

I ducked behind me and brandished my mace. Where should I use thieves? The hunter, whose head had been crushed by an aluminum can for recycling, collapsed on the spot and died. When I looked around, there were no other guys, so I started to go deeper into the forest little by little.

There were no more guards on the way. The only guard I saw until I reached the entrance to the barracks was the hunter I had fashioned out of an aluminum can.

The scale of the barracks was so huge that I wondered how the heck they hadn’t been caught until now. Inside the forest, as if it were a colony for elves, a huge fence was erected, and the fence was woven with vines to make it look like a barrier made of grass.

Two thieves stood guard at the entrance to the barracks, and these guys stood guard as if they were newcomers, raising their heads stiffly. I pressed close to the wall and moved towards them.

Kang!

Not realizing it until I got closer, I immediately hit the sentry next to me with my mace in the face. He was wearing a helmet, and thanks to that, my passive [Assault Soldier] Applied and shattered his head. As pieces of bone and meat flew in all directions, the sentry next to him collapsed in fear.

Kang!

Before he could scream, his head exploded like a fireworks display, and I rushed into the barracks.

Inside the barracks, a drinking party was going on. In the middle, the big thief leader was drinking from a bowl, and the thieves around him cheered and watched the thief drinking.

I picked up the spear the sentry was holding and aimed at the leader of the thieves. It was really easy to target the head because he was a leader of bandits that was one head taller than the others. The thieves still didn’t notice that I had come. I threw the spear as hard as I could before anyone turned around.

The spear flew faster than the arrow and pierced the wine glass. The thieves stopped cheering, and the thief leader stopped drinking and froze. Alcohol began to flow through the hole in the bowl of the hardened boss.

“Two bosses?”

One of the subordinates asked how the boss was. And then there were people who slowly looked back and confirmed my existence. I started breaking the heads of the sleeping personnel in the other barracks before they did.

I could get hurt if they came from all directions, so I had to deal with these guys first.

Thanks to that, the thieves looked back and found the priest who was mercilessly breaking the heads of his sleeping comrades.

“What, what are you doing!”

Only then did they find me and the bandits went into battle. I grabbed the first thief who ran into me and pinned him to the ground. The thieves stopped moving when they saw the man whizzing through the air.

As the thief shuddered and frothed on the floor, I swung my mace to suffocate him.

Bang!

The mace pierced the thief’s body and hit the dirt floor, creating dust with a huge explosion. The thief, who had been scattered on the floor, had his upper body blown off, making his appearance unrecognizable.

“Ugh… Ugh… Boss…! Boss!”

The guys holding the knives slowly backed away and called the boss. Until then, the boss had been sitting still with a glass of wine in his hand. Blood began to ooze out of the hole that had been broken by the spear. The subordinate who grabbed the boss and tried to attack him screamed when he saw it.

“Aaaaagh! Boss! Boss!”

The wine glass fell from the boss’s hand. And just now, a terrible figure with half of his face blown off by a spear was revealed to the whole world. The men started screaming in panic. Now that the boss is dead, there is no baby to stop me.

“Quiet!”

I shouted at the bandits. The boss struggled to open his mouth with his head smashed.

“Save me… Buy, save me…”

My head was smashed, so it must have been damaged somewhere. I mourned the leader’s lack of intelligence and swung my mace at the guy who tried to run past me.

Puck!

The guy who tried to ignore me got hit in the stomach with a mace and got pinned to a fence. Using his body to break the fence in half, he became a hedgehog when he got stuck in the broken tree fragments. He barely exhaled, claiming that he was alive, but he had no one to help.

“Everyone gather in the middle.”

The bandits were hesitating as if they didn’t understand my words. I shouted again.

“Gather here in the middle. Fuck you.”

As expected, if you mix swear words, the conversation will work. The thieves moved quickly and sat in huddles. The boss sat down on one side and was still repeating the words of asking for help. I sat with my back to the boss and watched the remnants of bandits. And I introduced myself.

“I am the lord of this Peta Territory. My name is Peta Lucius.”

And at those words, the thieves were shaken. As the tumult grew, I put my mace on the floor to calm it down.

“You may be wondering how I learned of this secret hideout.”

The thieves all shut their mouths. I looked back at the thieves and smiled in repentance. Yes, with common sense, these guys would have wondered how they found out the thieves’ hideout. No Knights or soldiers had ever gone on patrol to the forest.

“Four bandits surrendered in a recent battle in the city.”

“Ah…”

One guy opened his mouth. She seemed to have figured out what kind of connection it was. And his body began to tremble with hatred for the traitor.

“Th…Those bastards…!”

Kang!

When I hit the guy on the head who was making unnecessary noise while we were talking, the thief, who was making a bunch of bastards, died in a bubble of blood. And seeing that, the thieves again shut their mouths.

“Yes. I came here thanks to the thieves telling me where to hide.”

Of course, those 4 bandits never told me anything about the bandits. But I had something I was aiming for through this story.

“In fact, bandits are collective crimes, so they are punished by death as soon as they are caught, or they cut off their hands and release only those whose crimes are minor, but there are quite a lot of you, right?”

Including the ones I killed, there were about twenty or more people.

“I can’t kill all this amount of people, and if you do one favor, I’m going to release you on the condition that you never come near Peta’s territory again.”

“What are the conditions?”

Kang!

“Polite word.”

“Joe, what are the terms?”

I sent another thief, who spoke cheekily, to the boss, and the red-eyed guy raised his hand and asked. I said.

“Actually, the thieves surrendered, but that’s because they are thieves. Even though they brought them into the village for the purpose of reformation, I honestly don’t believe they will be reformed. I will give you too.”

“Yes. Yes. I will!”

The red-eyed man said his name was Klebang. He was burning with rage against the traitor.

**** ****

And again a few days later. I met Klevin sitting at the entrance to the forest. All necessary preparations had been completed. In the barracks, other personnel were waiting for Klevin and me. I told him to just leave, but the ‘compensation money’ seemed very tempting. Klebang looked around hesitantly, then nodded at me and said,

“It’s done. We decided to meet today.”

“Okay. Would you like a knife?”

“Here, here it is.”

Instead of the mace, I grabbed the knife Klebang gave me. Just then, the four thieves were walking from afar. Klebang approached slowly to avoid arousing suspicion.

“Have you sold everything?”

He was still playing the brutal ‘rabbit foot’ of the thieves. The second nodded.

“Yeah… I didn’t even get my price because I was in a hurry to sell it secretly… But, here it is…”

Then, Klebang swung his Bido. The second collapsed with his hand outstretched. Before the other three could scream in surprise, I jumped out and decapitated the fifth. Then Klebang charged at the fourth, and at the same time my sword pierced the third’s heart.

When all four bandits were down, I brushed the blood off my face. Klebang asked me cautiously.

“Then… I…”

Hooked!

I gave a knife to Klebang’s belly as a gift and said,

“Ah, yes. The guards and knights must be on their way to the barracks.”

“Keep it off… Kke it off…”

Klevin vomited his blood his, staining his red eyes even more red. I took the second child’s belongings that had fallen to the floor and walked towards the manor house. I was looking forward to what would happen tomorrow morning.
