0 – Prologue
They say one cannot predict the future of a person.
One might suddenly be entangled in an accident or experience unimaginable luck.
The very nature of life is that it cannot be foreseen, not even a step ahead.
But… no matter how unpredictable life may be, I never expected something like this to happen.
To meet an unforeseen end in an accident and then be reborn in an entirely different world.
And, astonishingly, that world turns out to be the world from the novel I read.
I never thought that the stories I read in novels would become my own, not even in my wildest dreams.
When I could barely make out my surroundings, the memory of hearing the names of places around me and being utterly surprised still remains vivid.
One fortunate thing, if it can be called that, is that I wasn’t a character from the novel.
I was an extra among extras, someone who had never appeared in the novel.
While some might have been disappointed, for me, it was a stroke of luck.
Honestly, I had no desire to live a turbulent life entangled in events like the characters in the novel.
I don’t know how I ended up in this situation, but I just decided to live a new life, ordinary and peaceful. That’s what I vowed.
Without getting involved with the characters from the novel.
That’s how… I had thought.
However…
“Wade! Look over there! The academy is in view!”
….
I ended up entering the academy, the stage of the novel.
And not just that… I became the childhood friend of the female lead.
