Chapter 12: Cooking For My Wife
The car stopped in front of a detached villa. Jing Yao was still sleeping soundly and showed no signs of waking up.
Liang Xun didn’t wake Jing Yao up and waited for 10 minutes.
However, Jing Yao was pregnant and tired easily. She had been to so many places today, so she still didn’t wake up after 10 minutes.
Liang Xun knew that if she slept in the car like this for too long, her neck would definitely hurt when she woke up.
Therefore, he pondered for a moment.
He opened the door and got out of the car. After getting out of the car, he walked around to the other side and opened the door.
He bent down and gently unbuckled her seatbelt. Then, he straightened up and took off his jacket to cover Jing Yao.
Jing Yao still didn’t wake up.
Liang Xun was suddenly filled with confidence about what he was going to do next.
He reached out and carefully picked Jing Yao up. Jing Yao’s eyes were still closed, sleeping peacefully.
Liang Xun curled his lips. Before he could smile, Jing Yao suddenly opened her eyes.
The moment she woke up, Jing Yao was shocked to find that she was in someone’s arms.
Her body trembled.
Liang Xun suppressed the regret in his heart and placed her down gently.
“Let’s go. We’re here,” Liang Xun said as he put his coat on Jing Yao.
Jing Yao quickly refused. “I’m not cold.”
Liang Xun nodded. “Don’t take it down. It’s just a few steps. We’ll be there soon.”
Hearing that, Jing Yao didn’t refuse and followed Liang Xun silently.
The two of them passed through the meticulously maintained courtyard. Liang Xun stood in front of the door and pressed the password to unlock it.
“The lock code is 1212. Remember it.”
Jing Yao nodded and repeated it twice in her heart.
When he opened the door, the first thing she saw was a spacious hall. The decorations were simple and generous, and there was no excess space.
Liang Xun bent down to change his shoes, then took out a new pair of home slippers for Jing Yao.
“This is for the guests. I’ll get someone to buy a new pair for you again tomorrow.”
Jing Yao immediately shook her head. “There’s no need to.”
Liang Xun did not reply. He brought her to the sofa in the living room and sat down. Then, he handed her the remote control of the television. “Watch the television yourself for a while. I’ll go cook.”
Jing Yao looked at him in shock. “You know how to cook?”
Liang Xun said, “What’s there to be shocked about? It’s not difficult to cook. I only know some home-cooked dishes. If you have anything you want to eat, you can tell me. It’s fine if it’s not too difficult.”
Jing Yao didn’t expect that she could order dishes, but she couldn’t really order them. She just smiled and said, “You can make whatever you want. I’m not picky.”
Liang Xun nodded. He didn’t know if Jing Yao was picky about food, but he knew that many pregnant people didn’t have a good appetite, so he should pay more attention to food.
Before entering the kitchen, Liang Xun sent a message to Zhu Sui, asking him to organize a list of things to take note of during pregnancy.
The moment he sent the message, Zhu Sui immediately sent him a document.
There was another sentence at the end: “The people on your Moments are so curious that they’re about to explode. Aren’t you going to explain?”
Liang Xun replied: “Not free.”
Zhu Sui: “No, what are you busy with?”
Liang Xun: “Cooking for my wife.”

After Liang Xun replied, he casually placed his phone on the coffee table and entered the kitchen to prepare dinner.
Thinking that at this time, Jing Yao should be very hungry. Liang Xun didn’t make any difficult dishes.
He simply made four dishes and a soup. All of them had less oil and salt.
When the dishes were placed on the table, Jing Yao hurriedly turned off the TV and walked to the dining room. She wanted to help get the bowls and chopsticks, but when she was about to go to the kitchen, Liang Xun stopped her quickly.
“Sit down and wait. I’ll get it. Don’t go to the kitchen in the future. Call me if you’re hungry.”
Jing Yao pursed her lips and sat down helplessly.
She could tell now that Liang Xun really cared about this child. For this child, he casually said that he wanted to give her 200 million. He even agreed to get married and helped her move.
If he didn’t really care, he wouldn’t have been able to do this.
Liang Xun’s cooking skills were very good. Anyway, Jing Yao felt that he was much better than her. She wasn’t interested in cooking and didn’t hate it, but her cooking was really average.
However, Liang Xun’s dishes were really delicious.
Jing Yao was already a little hungry, so she couldn’t control herself and ate more than usual.

Liang Xun’s heart ached. After Jing Yao recovered, he said, “Sorry, I don’t know how to make pregnant women’s meals. I’ll learn tomorrow.”
